What are clinical trials?
Clinical trials are a step in the long development process of new drugs, medical devices or research techniques.
Who qualifies?
Not everyone is eligible to participate in a clinical trial. There are strict conditions for participation.
Guidance
The study coordinators are an additional point of contact for the patient for everything related to the study.
Task CTC
The Clinical Trial Center (CTC) coordinates and monitors the quality of all clinical trials within AZ Delta.
Committee on Medical Ethics
The Medical Ethics Committee provides binding advice on clinical trials in patients.

Clinical research mainly takes place on the Rumbeke campus, but don't forget to discuss with your doctor and the responsible study coordinator what is possible at the other AZ Delta campuses.
A team of 30 study coordinators and passionate doctors are here for you to carry out clinical research. We conduct clinical research in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies or researchers at university hospitals, but we also do our own research. This clinical trial gives patients access to new therapeutic options that are not yet on the market.
